In my Public Relations Research course during the fall 2018, I worked on a semester long group project. We partnered with a local hair salon, conducted research on its publics and made recommendations for how the salon can better serve its audience and increase business. I specifically focused on the SWOT analysis and social listening analysis within my group. I learned how to use Meltwater and make sense of the information gathered to best assist our client. In this class, I learned I have a desire to work in social research.
