During my PRL 315, Public Relations Research, I found my passion for social media research. I began to understand how impactful quality social media content can be for brands, both large and small. I wanted to continue this challenging and insightful work, so I took PRL 530, Advanced Social Media Analytics, during my Spring 2019 semester.
Though it was an elective, this was one of the most challenging and rewarding classes I have taken in college. My class partnered with a local home sharing organization, StayBillety, and used social media to understand its target audience, competition and future publics. Each student worked to create his or her own research report and subsequent social media suggestions for the client.
